A Breathtakingly Incredible, Exceedingly RARE U.S. Army Colonel’s Jacket who served in the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) in World War II. Amazing and Full of Fine, Tailored Adornments, Medals, Patches and Decorations.

  2. Infantry Officer Branch Insignia {‘Crossed Rifles’} in Gold Bullion {Custom Tailor Made} (in the correct ‘Horizontal’ position, as were regulation in World War II.

  1. Office of Strategic Service (OSS) U.S. Army Airborne Qualification Wings with the addition of Gold “OSS” Letters on the Risers and Stamping of TWELVE {12} Gold Stars on the Feathered Wings ! (some still retaining a slight gold inset) in approximately 1mm in Size. This Airborne Badge is an early 1940s Issue with a raised ‘STERLING’ hallmark on the rear and a hollow-backed ‘ice cream cone’ look.
  2. Office of Strategic Service (OSS) Jump Wing Oval (‘Flash’) is an English made example in the correct Black on Red/Orange with a Gold Bullion Inner Ring.

  1. 82nd Airborne Division Service Sleeve Insignia (SSI) Wartime Service {‘Combat Patch’} is a period Two-Piece, Machine Made with Tab and Main Patch separate.
  2. OSS/SOE “SF.” ‘Jedburgh’ Wings in Silk and Wool of English manufacture and in pristine condition.


The U.S. Army Officers Coat is a Size 34 Regular dated with a year of manufacture of 1944. It remains in extremely good condition.


Provenance: Procured from a long-time Houston, Texas advanced collection who acquired it from a veteran who was a friend of this Colonel in a the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).


This Tunic is obviously museum-quality.


It is Unidentified but with the DSC and other ‘Narrowing’ Factors I am sure the field can be slim as to who this belonged to.
